Directions: From Prescott take Mount Vernon which will eventually
lead into Senator Highway. Go for about 6.8 miles and the trail head is on
you left. The trail number is 307.
Trail Information: The trail is 9 miles long. You can go
right which is a brutal 5.5 mile ascent, filled with switchbacks and water bars.
It finally reaches the summit of Spruce Mountain. Descending on the other
side is filled with big rocks and more water bars. Little sandy, nothing
that good trail shoes can't stand.
