Directions: Go to Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park. Pick
up a park map at one of the park entrances and make your way to Horseshoe Park
where you will find the Lawn Lake Trail Head.
Trail Information: The trail (approximately 6 miles one way, with a 2300
foot elevation gain) winds through an evergreen forest along the Roaring River.
The trail is well marked. You will also see mountain peaks, and perhaps
some of the abundant wildlife populating the area. Bring water, food and
be prepared for adverse weather. The more ambitious can continue on to
Upper and Lower Crystal Lakes or on lesser used trails which continue on above
the tree line.
