Directions: Turn East from Hi Way 61 onto either 69 th street or 56 th
street. Trailhead is aprox. 1 mile from hi way. Just North of Hutchinson between
"Hutch" and the burg of Medora.
Trail Information: The trail runs through the sand hills between 56th and
69th street. There are turn around points where you can shorten your run. On the
69 th street side the trail runs through a small forest.
Miscellaneous Information: Great for walking, running, or just a picnic.
Nice trails, however some areas are marshy. There can be standing water in low
areas. I would avoid the park in May and early June because of ticks. Some small
sand dunes and hills. On the 69th street side there is a small forest of
Catalpa, elm, and cottonwood trees. A nice trail to take the family including
young children.
Also in Hutchinson the Cosmospher Discovery Center, space artifacts, lunar
lander, Apollo, Gemini, and Mercury capsules, lots more. Anchor Inn for great
Mexican Food. 24th and Main Hutchinson's oldest flooring specialty store
Bourells Carpet One.
