Directions: Start at Spooner Lake at the Spooner Summit on Highway
50 between South Lake Tahoe and Carson City NV.
Trail Information: Get a map at the kiosk, take the main
canyon trail to Lake Marlette, run around the lake to the dam and continue on
The Flume, as you reach Tunnel Creek Rd. Go UP a short hill, at the top you will
intersect with the Tahoe Rim Trail. Go right and just stay on this trail
as it will take you on a most magical run up to about 9000 feet! Views are
simply magic as BAZ would say. The trail will eventually take you down to
HIWY-50 and back to Spooner Lk. Guesstimated about 26 miles. Take
your time and enjoy!!! 100 stars on a scale of 1-10!
