Directions: drive south on Highway 35, turn left on Whiskey Creek
Road, left again on East Side road and right on Old Dalles Road. Drive up the
hill for about 2-3 miles. Park right at the top of the hill where the road turns
to gravel. Trail starts on your right.
Trail Information: initial part is an uphill grunt to a place called
"Puke Point" for obvious reasons (the official name is Hood River
Mountain). Then rolling single track with great views of the Hood River Valley.
Take a right where the trail splits. When you get to the road follow it for a
few hundred yards and then take the single track on the left side of the road.
It makes a nice loop and brings you back to the road. Follow the road back to
your car (or get back on the Puke Point trail if you're nuts). About 12 miles
Miscellaneous Information: A popular mountain bike trail. Watch out for
riders! Can be dry and dusty in the summer. Stop by Mountain View Cycle in Hood
River for directions to the trail and other info.
