Directions: The trail is in the center of Big Bend National Park. Starts
in the Basin of the Chisos Mountains.
Trail Information: The Basin is a beautiful spot surrounded
by the peaks of the Chiso Mountains. About 2400 elevation gain in 4.5 miles.
Mostly smooth dirt, some rock, no water. Unrelenting uphill
for 3.5 then take the spur trail to the peak. Lots of weather changes possible,
wildlife, great views.
Miscellaneous Information: Lodging and camping is available as is a
convenience store and restaurant. Enjoy. Winter can bring snow, summer
gets warm.
