Horseshoe Trail, in Grapevine TX, between Dallas and Fort Worth, offers about 3 miles
of wooded dirt trails, and 2.5 miles of paved trails/roads on the shores of Lake
Grapevine. All are protected from autos and horses. Shared with local mountain bikers and
residents, all users seem to get along fine. The trail is maintained by the Dallas
Off-Road
Bicycle Association and the Army Corps of Engineers. It is a good training trail for local
runners and bikers that is close to many residential communities.
It is located on the south side of the lake, access is from Dove Loop Road.
