Directions: Southwest of el paso about 9 hours to the railroad tourist
town of Creel[7,600 feet]--then 5 hours by bus over the mountains for 50 miles then down,
down, down to the old town of Batopilas at the bottom of batopilas canyon [1600 feet]
Trail Information: trails are various, unmarked and challenging as well
as beautiful. run along a river for 7 miles before climbing 4,000 feet out of this 6,000
foot deep canyon, 5 or 6 miles of rolling trail crosses la sierra running thru oak trees
then pine forests before descending 4,000 feet on some very rocky trail, then less so
before crossing the urique river and rolling about 5 miles on dirt road to the deep canyon
