Directions:Take the Carefree Hwy to 32nd St. North on 32nd St. to
the entrance to the Cave Creek Recreation Area. Minimal fee is required. Park
near end of pavement. Ramadas, playground, campground, bathrooms and water fountains
available.
Trail Information: Single track tough 6 mile loop with some good short
climbs and decents. Everything from loose rocks to bedrock to thin dirt. For
at least half the run you cannot see any houses or city, just empty mountains.
Miscellaneous Information: Multi use trail - expect hikers, horse-back
riders and mountain bikers. During the cooler seasons expect the weekends to be a
bit busy. Weekdays are not half as bad. Watch out for snakes during warmer
months in morning and evening.
