Directions: From Phoenix area, take Hwy 87 north through
Payson, trail will be on your left, east, about 14 miles north of Payson and
just before you come into Pine. From Flagstaff, take Lake Mary Road to Hwy 87,
south. Go through Strawberry and Pine, trailhead just outside of Pine.
Trail Information: Several single track trails from this
trailhead. This also links with the Arizona trail -Mexico border to Utah
border. Hills, pine, creeks and open areas. Elevation changes of up to 1000 ft.
Miscellaneous Information: The Zane Grey 50 and new Mogollon
Monster 100 are staged on these trails. The village of Pine has several
restaurants, a micro brew pub, and a grocery. 3 miles north, Strawberry has the
tiny Windmill hotel and Strawberry cabins.
