Directions:: Exit 34 (Crooked St) off I-84 East, turn
right off ramp, right at first light, 100yds, turn left onto Ledge Rd, (note blue blazes
on utility poles, this is the Metacomet trail). Crescent lake is bout 1 1/2 miles up
ledge Rd on the left, parking and porta john are available year round.
Trail Information:: Red and orange trails go around the lake, red is
about 1 mile, orange is about 2.25 miles and has some nice views to the west. Green
trail is a short loop through the woods. Go right out of the lot for about 1 mile
and pick up the Metacomet trail (blue blazes) on the right of ledge rd. it meets the
orange trail and continues through to shuttle meadow res.
Miscellaneous Information:: Stop at Caffe del Mondo on Main st in
Southington for coffe or lunch.
Fishing is allowed at Crescent Lake, catch and release only.
