Directions: Take S.R. 50 or University Blvd. to Alafaya and go
north. Then go east on McCulloch Rd until the first stoplight. Go left on
Lockwood until it deadends. Go right about 1 mile and you'll see the entrance on
your right.
Trail Information: It is pretty flat, but has a good enough
variation in terrain to give you a good workout. The trail is part of the
Appalachian Trail that runs up the east coast. So, basically, you can run two
miles or to Canada. Watch out for the 2x4 bridges, they're kinda shakey!
Miscellaneous Information: The trail stays along the river and is
absolutely beautiful. After you cross the fourth bridge, there is almost always
this 8-ft. alligator on the opposite bank. Look for him, he's awesome.
