The group I run with loves to run in an area about 20 miles from Rexburg, Idaho.
The trails are in a ski resort area called Kelly Canyon. The trails are
technical for the most part. The scenery is beautiful. Lots of trees and wild
flowers.
One drawback is that it is also range land for many ranchers in our area. We have to
dodge a lot of cow dirt. It just adds to the excitement. We see a lot of
wildlife. One evening we were lucky enough to see two very large owls. They
weren't very happy to have us there. They were screeching like crazy.
Most of the trails are about 14-16 miles. We are able to use the trails in the
winter as well for cross-country skiing and snow shoeing.
