Trail Information: At 45 miles the Knobstone trail is Indiana's longest
hiking/running unimproved footpath. Rising and falling nearly 20,000 feet along
its entire length this is one of the most difficult and strenuous trails east of
the Mississippi. Each year in the spring there is an ultra marathon which covers
the length of this trail = 5 more torturous miles.
