Directions: Just south of where Rt 1 crosses the
Susquehanna River (Conowingo Dam) take Shuresville Rd east, then left on Shures
Landing Rd to Conowingo Dam. Trail starts at east end of parking lot.
Trail Information: Scenic flat trail along the Susquehanna River, 2.5
miles long, from Conowingo Dam to Susquehanna State Park. Trail is gravel and/or
packed dirt and 6 feet wide with several wooden bridges.
Miscellaneous Information: Conowingo Dam is an excellent place to bird
watch and fish. You will see Blue Heron, Turkey Vultures and Bald Eagles.
