St. Patrick's and Madeline Bertrand Parks, South Bend, Indiana

Directions:  Enter from Indiana off of the Rt. 31 bypass at Cleveland Road exit, east on Cleveland, north on Portage Road, east on LaurelRoad to the St. Patrick's Park entrance.  From back parking lot you can access on foot trails north into Michigan or south in Indiana.
        
Trail Information: There are a variety of marked trails (for cross country skiing in winter, hiking the rest of the year).  The Indiana trails are named, the Michigan trails identified by color.  Trails are mostly dirt in woods, but also include some boardwalk bridges over streams and some grass covered trail in open areas.  A nice finish in any season but winter is a run up the tubing hill in St. Pat's Park.  Trail maps are available at both parks.

Miscellaneous Information: There are no sources of potable water along the trails.Water should be available at park nature or information centers when they are open.
