Directions: Approx. 75 miles south of Okla. City on H E Baily Turnpike. Located in
the Wichita Mtns. Wildlife Refuge. (Approx. 10 Miles north of Lawton)
Trail Information: Trail is uphill; downhill; wooded; grassland; granite well
marked; with buffalo; deer; wild turkey; fox; eagles and longhorn cattle. Occasional
snake; tarantula; scorpion and the state bird (the mosquito).
Miscellaneous Information: What more could you ask for? Trail heads at French Lake;
Burford Lake and one other spot I can't recall right now. 3 different lengths of trail.
You can also go to Sunset Creek and run UP!!!! Elk Mountain!
