Directions: From the east side of Molalla (45 minutes south of
Portland), go south at the 211 split toward Dickie Prairie/Freyer Park. Cross the bridge
at Freyer Park and turn right (south) toward Dickie Prairie. After the Dickie Prarie Store
it's about 4 miles south to the Glen Avon Bridge on your right. Cross the bridge to the
Molalla River Recreation Corridor and stay on the road that runs next to the river.
Trail Information: There are trails all along the Molalla River, and the
maps are not entirely accurate. The Huckleberry Trail runs parallel to the road (but
higher up on the ridge) and is an old logging road that is more or less a gentle incline
for about 6+ miles. But there are many more logging roads, trails, etc. The Huckleberry
Trail is accessed by either the Hardy Creek Trailhead or running up Amanda's trail (the
first trailhead).
Miscellaneous Information: I've never seen another trail runner here.
Occasionally horses (which have the right of way) and mountain bikers. The Molalla River
Recreation Corridor runs into the Table Rock Wilderness at its southern edge.
