Directions: Head East on Route 230 out of Middletown. Keep going
straight for about 5 miles. Trailhead parking is on the left after the
Getty Mart. If you hit Elizabethtown you went too far. If you see a
farm with a camel grazing in the pasture you are very close.
Trail Information: The Conewago Trail is 5 miles, but links directly into
the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail which is a straight shot to Mount Gretna.
The PA Horseshoe Trail also links into this network creating literally hundreds
of miles of trails. Nice, flat surface for running.
Miscellaneous Information: In 2002 and 2003 several women were attacked
along the Conewago Trail. While there have not been any further attacks it
is still wise to run with a partner.

There's a great trail starting just outside Middletown, PA. It's called the Conewago Trail and runs 5 miles. The trail is marked every 1/2 mile. I understand the trail is much further than 5 miles, but unmarked and tends to become narrow due to overgrowth of foliage.
