locate the campus on an internet map, use an address of 5091 Station Road, Erie,
PA, for the most accurate directions.
By Car:
From Pittsburgh (south): Take I-279 North to I-79 North to I-90 East. Continue
on I-90 East to Exit 32 (Wesleyville) and follow Route 430 West for 1 mile.
(Approx. 2½ hours from downtown Pittsburgh.)
From Cleveland (west): Take I-90 East into Pennsylvania to Exit 32 (Wesleyville)
and follow Route 430 West for 1 mile. (Approx. 2 hours from downtown Cleveland.)
From Buffalo and Rochester (east): Take I-90 West into Pennsylvania to Exit 32 (Wesleyville)
and follow Route 430 West for 1 mile. (Approx. 1½ hours from downtown Buffalo.)
From State College and Harrisburg: Take Route 26 West to I-80 West. Follow I-80
West to I-79 North. Take I-79 North to I-90 East. Continue on I-90 East to Exit
32 (Wesleyville) and follow Route 430 West for 1 mile. (Approx. 3¾ hours from
State College.)
From Erie International Airport/Tom Ridge Field: Turn right as you exit the
airport and follow Route 5 east for 3.5 miles to I-79 South. Take I-79 South 4
miles to Exit 178A, turning onto I-90 East. Proceed for 10 miles. Take Exit 32 (Wesleyville)
and follow Route 430 West for 1 mile.
Once on campus trails are accessible from many areas, tennis courts, athletic
fields, and in the western most parking lot to start.
Trail Information: Adjacent to the Penn State University's
Behrend Campus, "The Gorge" offers over a 1000 acres and a variety of trail
surfaces and terrain. Single track, service trail, creek bed, mountainous
terrain, and paved pathways make up a veritable array of terrain for all
runners.
Miscellaneous Information: You may need to obtain a free
visitor pass from University Police once you arrive on campus. Campus maps are
available from campus website. Stop by the Barnes & Noble campus bookstore,
Bruno's Cafe before or after your run for some recovery.
