Trails at Concord Park in Farragut, Knoxville

Directions: From Pellissippi take the Northshore exit and proceed south on Northshore approx 3-4 miles. Look for par three golf course, tennis courts and Petsafe Dog Park on your right. Park at the dog park area. The parking lot is huge.

Trail Information: Approx 10 miles of trail built by the AMBC and other volunteer trail groups. From the parking lot the majority of the trails are to your right if you are facing the lake. These trails are mostly single track and fairly challenging with lots of rocks, roots, twists and hills. The only trail here that isn't single track is the Main Loop. It is a wider trail but still rooty and has some steep climbs depending on the direction you take.  There is also a West Loop to the left of the parking area and on the other side of Concord Park Dr. It is approx 2 miles in length and of equal challenge. On any day you are likely to find other trail users so always be on the look out. The section of the Lakeside Loop that is closest to the lake is very muddy in winter and after a good rain. It takes a few days to dry so be aware that it is extra slippery and there is nothing between you and a good dunking in the lake except an abrupt fall of maybe 10ft. These trails are well maintained and though you are in the city it is fairly quiet.

Miscellaneous Information: There is a huge map in the parking area but you can always find one to download and print before you go. It took me a few visits to get the trails down but it is a fun place to go in the afternoon and get in 3-5 miles of technical trail running. I always think I'm improving til I run here and get my tail handed to me. ;)
