Took my Scout group on the hiking trails of McKinney Park, near Austin, on Onion
Creek.
Two loops ~ 3 to 3 1/2 miles long. Could probably make a 7-9 mile run if you plan
the route. Maps available at the entrance to the State Park. Generally shaded with water
stations on the primary loop. Some small elevation change. A real treat to be so close to
Austin.
