Directions: From Daingerfield: take Highway 11 East towards
Hughes Springs. The Park entrance is approximately 3 miles outside of town
on the Right. Once in the park you can find parking in the day use area.
Trail Information: This is a moderately difficult trail located in Daingerfield state park. It is well maintained, and is the most popular trail in the park. The trail makes a loop around the lake. There is an optional out and back segment that goes out onto a peninsula. All total, the trail is approx. 2.5 miles long.
Miscellaneous Information: Gate Fee is $4 for adults and Children over 12. Has additional interconnecting trails totaling over 4 miles. The Lower mountain trail is difficult and contains one stretch that is nearly a vertical climb.
