Directions: Take 33 west out of Harrisonburg. Roughly 20 miles out the
road begins to go up the mountain towards the WVA/VA border. Half way up, on a
curve the road down to Skidmore dam is on the left. A mile down the gravel road
leads to parking for the reservoir.
Trail Information: The fire road climbs up the mountain roughly 8 miles
and peaks out at flagpole knob before descending to a gap between flagpole knob
and reddish knob. The road has generally good footing and climbs roughly 2500
feet in the 8 miles.
Miscellaneous Information: As this run is very remote, bring along water
and a snack for after the run.
