Directions: From I-5 or I-205 take State Route 14 to Camas, One trailhead
is located on Third Ave NE in Camas and the other is located on Hwy 500 in Camas.
Trail Information: The Greenway which has several loops on dirt trails
with undulating hills. The trail also connects to the Heritage Trail alongside Lacamas
Lake in Camas, Wash. The Greenway itself can include loops of up to six miles without
crossing the same trail twice, however, multiple loops and other routes can add up to much
more. The Heritage Trail, a trail currently under construction from Camas to Vancouver,
could add as many as six more miles in one direction as it currently exists. (Support for
this trail is needed so it doesn't get swept under the rug) The Heritage Trail could
easily extend to Vancouver and be a much needed recreational corridor.
Miscellaneous: The Greenway is completely shaded by trees with tons of
fern growth at the sides of the trails. There is a main, wider trail, that also serves as
an emergency access and several single track trails that shoot off from the main trail.
The loops are hilly and circumnavigate a small lake (Round Lake.) At one trailhead there
is adequate parking, picnic grounds, bathrooms, while the Third Ave Trailhead is simply a
trailhead with limited parking (four spaces) and is adjacent to a private residence. The
trail provides great shade in the summer and shelter from rain in the winter, although
winter time can get sloppy.
